Colour as a method: SANDER in Paris
How architect Anthony Authié of Zyva Studio staged a Parisian micro apartment with SANDER, MEYER and FELS
In the middle of Paris, architect Anthony Authié has turned a tiny apartment into a space full of colour and rhythm, compact in size and generous in feeling. On show: our SANDER SOFA in Pure Orange, the MEYER COLOR TABLE and the FELS STOOL in sky blue.
Who Anthony Authié is
Anthony Authié is a French architect from Paris and the founder of Zyva Studio, an office he describes himself as maximalist, working between architecture, design and scenography. His style is shaped by the pop aesthetic of the early 2000s he grew up with, with strong colours, clear contrasts and a feel for rhythm in a space. Alongside architecture, Anthony also writes. His novel Baston de Regards, a reflection on the professional experiences of a young architect, was published in 2018 by Parenthèses Editions. So he does not only build spaces, he is building a name of his own in the scene.
The project: colour as a method, not as decoration
Rather than falling in line with the usual wash of beige, Anthony deliberately chose an aesthetic here that is personal, expressive and unmistakably alive. Intense orange meets sky blue, stainless steel meets soft wool. Every surface in the room takes a role in a larger narrative. Colour becomes the actual method, not an afterthought.
Our objects in the project
Our objects find their place exactly within that interplay: the soft SANDER SOFA in Pure Orange as the sculptural centre of the room. The MEYER COLOR TABLE as a coloured accent in the stainless steel kitchen. And the FELS STOOL in sky blue as a statement object with its unmistakable form. It also shows that a micro apartment does not necessarily need a micro sofa. You can lounge comfortably in a small space too. The colourful MEYER dining table with the stools looks extremely light and airy.
