"The design of the HENN SOFA begins with a fundamental human need: the feeling of security and warmth. I wanted HENN to embody this both visually and through touch in every detail. The quilted, softly padded cushion covers evoke the lightness of a down blanket—loose, airy, and silky smooth. The structure itself is an invitation to interpretation. In many ways, it mirrors the concept of nest-building—a place of protection that also allows space for new beginnings. A retreat to recharge, collect oneself, and prepare for what lies ahead.

The inspiration for the design comes from the rhythmic patterns of nature and the clear structures of architecture. The symmetrical quilting resembles landscapes seen from above, gentle ripples on the water’s surface, or the gridded logic of a blueprint—where order and poetry meet. This precision creates a meditative calm that guides the eye and gives structure to a space. But order always thrives on small irregularities: the offset backrest and the consciously lively design of the HENN cushions break up the strict geometry. This tension between structure and freedom is what defines HENN.
